The Wachau Valley is a scenic region located in Lower Austria.
The area is known for its stunning landscapes, picturesque villages, and rich history, making it a popular destination for tourists.
We will start our tour with a visit to the Melk Benedictine Abbey, an impressive monastic complex located on a cliff above the Danube. The abbey is a remarkable example of Baroque architecture and houses a valuable collection of manuscripts and works of art.
Next, we will head to the medieval town of Dürnstein, known for the ruins of the castle where King Richard the Lionheart was imprisoned during the 12th century. We will explore the narrow streets of the town and visit the Baroque church with its distinctive blue facade.
Our next stop will be in the town of Spitz, a picturesque village known for its vineyards and quality wines. We will have the opportunity to taste local wines and learn more about the region's wine-making traditions.
Our tour will conclude in the town of Krems, another historic town with a rich cultural heritage. Here you will have free time to explore the town on your own and enjoy its unique atmosphere.

This tour was a highlight of our vacation! Diana took us outside of Viennea, on The Wachau Valley to some hidden gems that we would never have found without her. The Melk Abbey in particular was an unforgettable experience. Thank you for this great time!
