For this tour, I will meet you at your hotel and take you on an extensive 3-hour sightseeing tour covering the very best of Vienna\'s history, lifestyle, and art.
We will start our tour at the historic center of Vienna, which is a UNESCO World Heritage Site. On this tour, we will drive along the famous Ringstrasse Boulevard, passing its monumental buildings: the State Opera, a world-renowned opera house, the neoclassical Austrian Parliament Building, the very elegant Court Theatre, the impressive City Hall, the University, the oldest university in the German-speaking countries, and the neo-gothic Votive Church.
We will then drive along the Danube Canal to the Hundertwasser House and to the nearby Prater amusement park with the world-famous Giant Ferris Wheel, one of Vienna’s famous landmarks. We will continue by crossing the Danube towards the United Nations Centre, the new prosperous neighborhood of modern Vienna.
Further, we will make our way back to the city center where you will pass other sights like the City Park with the famous golden statue of Johann Strauss, St. Charles’ Church, and the concert hall of the Musikverein.
As we continue our tour, we will pass by the Belvedere Palace, which is home to the largest collection of Gustav Klimt\'s paintings in the world. The palace itself is also a masterpiece of Baroque architecture, with stunning gardens and fountains.
On the way to the Schönbrunn Palace, we will drive by the Naschmarkt – Vienna\'s largest outdoor market with a variety of local and international foods.
During the day, you can decide where to stop to take some snapshots of the sights. And if you would like to extend the tour and include a private guided tour of the Schönbrunn Palace, I will reserve the tickets in advance so we don\'t have to wait in line.
